Alison in the night - part 1
Published:
For quite some time now I've been wanting to photograph Alison at night in the Parliamentary Triangle partly (but not completely) in character as Virginia Fizz. Just before it turned cold we were able to make it happen.
We went to a few different places, and played with different looks using the available light at each location.
One of the things I found interesting was that the light here had changed since when I photographed Denisa Strakova nearby. The light bulbs had been replaced by an LED array, which changed how the light passed through the grid surrounding the light, making a dappled pattern on Alison, instead of the larger more obvious grid on Denisa.
Leaving the water's edge we headed into the grounds of the sculpture garden at the National Gallery of Australia.
While we were here we could see sheet lightning off in the distance, this was the only photo where it lit the clouds while I had the shutter open.
As we ended up with quite a few different looks I've decided to split them across a number of blog posts. In part 2 we head to Bowen Place.
