Persephone de la Mort

Last year I had a couple of fetish based photo sessions with Persephone de la Mort concentrating on rope and candle wax.

We started out on the first photo shoot with a few art nude photos to warm up, and so I could tweak the lighting a bit. At that stage I was trying for a darker look with black or very dark background. I tend to feel I have mixed results with this lighting in different styles, it's something I need to work further on.

We then moved on to some rope work.

Lastly we went on to candle wax, this was only the second time I'd used candle wax in a photo shoot and decided to use a different technique. The previous time I had dripped the wax in patterns, this time I started out using a paint brush to paint it on. It didn't work all that well, so mixed in some wax dripping.

After some thought and discussion, the next time we shot only one look with photos at different stages of the process using candle wax a simpler rope setup, different lighting, and the dripping technique. It worked a lot better this time round with interesting results which usually generates some comment among people who see it and are somewhat curious about what we did with the wax and rope.
